Anodising is done in tanks of forty, so colour drifts across a run and no two pieces match exactly. The drift is the record of the batch and it is not corrected.

Nulla F-01

€ 340 — wrap shield, aluminium. In stock.

A shield that pretends to be a frame. Cut from one billet and folded around the face at base 8, so the lens keeps its curve instead of flattening at the temples.

Kastel F-02

€ 295 — flat-top rectangle, nylon. In stock.

A flat brow line, hard corners, no taper. Moulded polyamide with a matte break that takes a scratch and forgets it.

Vitrine F-03

€ 380 — oversized square, aluminium. Low stock.

Oversized enough to read as a decision. Polished until the front behaves like a small mirror; the coat is on the outer face only, so the view out stays neutral.

Grava F-04

€ 265 — compact oval, aluminium. In stock.

Anodised in tanks of forty, so colour drifts across the run. Two examples side by side will not match.

Parapet F-05

€ 420 — double-bridge navigator, blackened aluminium. Access list only.

Two bars instead of one: the upper bar carries the load and the lower one holds the lens, which is why the rim can be this thin without moving.

Subject F-06

€ 240 — micro rectangle, steel. In stock.

Sized small enough to read as a gesture rather than as protection. It still blocks the full ultraviolet range, which is what makes it work.

The house

OBSKURA makes six frames, 640 pairs to a drop. Each frame is produced until its batch is finished and then they are not produced again. There is no archive sale, no restock and no seasonal apology.

Fronts are milled from solid 7075 or moulded in polyamide. Lenses are chemically hardened mineral glass, 1.2 to 1.6 millimetres, blocking the full ultraviolet range.
